Ujung Kulon

Ujung Kulon

UJUNG KULON

This is a four day easy trip with lots of amazing pictures of wild animal and unspoiled nature awaits. Start and end in Jakarta, using car/bus, speed boat and traditional canoe. The accommodation is quite standard and simply a lodge room accommodation in a nature conservation island near Java most western area (the shy one horn rhino conservation area). We are not far from Krakatoa so you can combine with the trip to Krakatoa.

Day 1 Jakarta – Peucang Island

Leaving Jakarta early morning, direct drive to Sumur Village, then sailing to Peucang Island. Trekking through tropical dense jungle of Peucang Island for sunset at Karang Copong, the most western part point of Java Island. Dinner and accommodation at Guest House in Peucang Island. (D)

Day 2 Ujung Kulon Exploration

Ujung Kulon peninsula is  the home of  the exotic flora  and  fauna such  as  Badak Asia,  the one  –  horned rhinoceros, jungle fowl, wild pigs, gibbons, otters, wild buffalo, tigers, leopards, panthers and numerous varieties of birds that inhabit this area. There are also sea gardens with many species of fish. ( B,L,D )

Breakfast at hotel and proceed with excursions :

Am. Ciramea – Tanjung Layar trekking

Transfer to Cibom by boat and begin trekking to Ciramea and on to the most western tip of Java’s light house at Tanjung Layar (along the way you might spot The great Hornbill (Buceros bicornis) nest, turtle hatchery, old prison, watch tower, birds and snake), back to Cibom and return to Peucang by boat. Lunch is provided at hotel.

Pm. Cidaon tour

Transfer to Cidaon by boat. At Cidaon you can see many kinds of animals are feeding at the grazing ground. you might also see blue birds that nested on the ground. Return to Peucang Island by boat for accommodation and dinner.

Day 3 Peucang Island

Free Day for leisure, fishing, swimming, snorkeling  or just sunbathing. Optional activities canoeing to Cigenter river using traditional canoe you might get a chance to see python snake on a branch of a tree warming itself under the sun. (B,L,D)

Day 4 Peucang – Labuhan – Jakarta

Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure from Ujung Kulon to Sumur Village, then transfer to Jakarta by car. Arrive Jakarta in the early evening. End of program. (B)
